Here are some great school fundraising ideas to help you get the most out of your fundraiser.
Fancy dress day:
Not only are themed dress-up days always loads of fun, they are also great for school fundraising! For a gold coin donation everyone can come as their favourite celebrity or book character and you could award prizes for the best dressed, funniest, most original and best look alike.
A school basketball, soccer or football match is as exciting for spectators as it is for players. A gold coin entry fee, raffle and sausage sizzle are great ideas for your school fundraiser.
Students from all years can donate artworks created in class to a school fundraising auction. You could also include a door fee and raffle to get the night humming.
Why Schools love Cadbury Fundraiser:
We asked our community what they liked best about Cadbury Fundraiser. We received many stories from members about their school fundraiser experiences. Some are inspirational, some are funny, some are top School Fundraising ideas and some just touch our hearts. Below are some of our favourite stories.
From Belinda, a funny fundraising story:
"I delivered a hamper to the winner after a school fundraiser. When I arrived, the winner wasn’t home so I knocked next door, hoping to leave it there. The neighbour opened the door and screamed, shouted and hugged me, she’d also entered and thought she had won! It’s funny now, but it was terrible then to explain she hadn’t won."
From Emily, why she fundraises:
"I am trying to raise money to help a small child from my son's school who has recently become paralysed and needs a wheelchair. It is very important to me to help children realise their dreams and show them love when life just seems too tough."
From Allison, why she fundraises:
"The playgroup my three kids and I have been attending for four years. Our eldest has a congenital heart defect for which there is no cure though he has had three open heart surgeries to extend life. Our playgroup allows me to see my sons enjoy life together and with friends right before my eyes, it's priceless and fundraising for a Big Xmas Party for Playgroup is exciting."
